Michael Rose has produced Sandy Wilson's The Boy Friend, Dames At Sea, Bell Book and Candle with Anita Harris, Tomfoolery with Melvyn Hayes and Brian Cant, The Wizard of Oz with Vince Hill, Oliver! With Tony Adams, Peter Pan, Jesus Christ Superstar and the bitter sweet comedy Steel Magnolias.
Other production include Maltby and Shire's Baby which won the Manchester Evening News Award for Best Musical, Driving Miss Daisy with Stephanie Cole which was nominated for Best touring show in the TMA Martini Rossi Awards, the stage premiere of F.Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, the European premiere of Maltby and Shire's Closer Than Ever, the UK premiere of Duke Ellington's Sophisticated Ladies which transferred to the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End, two new thrillers entitled Nightmare and Nightfright, the UK premiere of Ivan Menchell's comedy The Cemetery Club with Millicent Martin, Anne Charleston, Judy Cornwell and Carmen Silvera, the UK premiere tour of James Goldman's The Lion In Winter with David McCallum and Sian Phillips, the world premiere of…….love Julie with Millicent Martin and Anne Charleston and the premiere of Peter Pan - The Return, Aladdin and Cinderella starring Matthew Kelly.
Recent productions include the Olivier Award winning tap musicals Tap Dogs and Hot Shoe Shuffle, Ivan Menchell's new comedy drama The Surprise Party with an all star cast including Matthew Kelly, Tracey Childs and Peter Duncan. Most recently Michael Rose has had enormous critical success in London's West End with Pam Gem's Marlene starring Sian Phillips, a tribute to the legendary Marlene Dietrich, which toured extensively around the UK including season's in Paris and South Africa. Michael has just completed a season at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London with Sweet Charity starring Bonnie Langford which won critical acclaim.
Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? was tried in a concert version in 1998 which received incredible reactions from audience and critics alike.
